Meetup has arranged over 100,000,000 RSVPs

I find Meetup to be the most amazing of Web 3.0 tools, it connects what the web is good at: forming communities around interests, with what the real world is good at: getting to know people.

Now meetup has seen more than 100 million RSVPs, showing how the Internet is not just isolating people. The internet is starting to enable face to face contacts more and more, turning what was a suburbs of cyberspace in to a social system intimately connected with the growth of cities.
